Projects

There will be more information here to come, but until then, I shall just list them, with a short description. I shall also link to any posts that have to do with the projects.

Calculator (it has a name, but I don’t want it to be known yet… you’ll see eventually)

Basically, this is an application that will do basically anything and everything mathematical that ever needs to be done. It’s built to be used by anybody, ranging from the earliest students of Algebra, to the most tenured professors of Mathematics. It will have tools for anybody from Chemists to Engineers. 2D Graphing (or course), 3D Graphing, and 4D (time-rendered) Graphing will be supported. The user interface will be as intuitive and unintimidating as possible. However, for those nerds (like me) that want to do everything under the sun, it will have it’s own console function that allows for textual control of the powerful underlying math engine.

Currently, I have limited code towards the GUI, and I’m about half through the math engine underneath. After the groundwork is completed, I can really expand the GUI, and spend the time making the user interface combine the aspects of math utilities that I have found helpful and innovative in the past, and add some flair and ingenuity of my own.

Project Hobo (this sounds kinda bad, but it’s honestly the best I could come up with)

This stems from ideas that I’ve jotted down on paper during repetetive lectures in Calculus and Programming. It’s in the very early stages of R&D, but in essence, it’s an economical living environment that is hosted in the back of my truck.

Now, before you go about saying things like, “hey Brandon, that’s just building a camper shell in your truck bed,” let me just tell you that it’s more than that. You’ll see when I get around to getting some of those drawings and plans scanned so I can post them here.
